The Kindergarten der Stadt Wien is part of KIWI – Kinder in Wien, one of the largest providers of kindergartens and after-school care in Vienna. With over 1,700 employees and 92 locations, the facility places great importance on the protection and well-being of children. Since 2020, a comprehensive protection concept has been implemented, which includes a code of conduct for staff and guidelines for case and complaint management. This concept has been firmly established throughout the organization since June 2023 and is continuously evaluated and further developed.
The kindergarten promotes exchange with other providers, such as the German provider Fröbel, to integrate innovative approaches in early childhood education. This also includes site-specific risk potential analyses, which will be introduced in 2024. Independent child protection officers are available to families as points of contact and provide support in all matters of child protection.

"Sehr schön geworden das Objekt. Wenn das Personal auch noch so toll wäre dann wäre es spitze aber das Personal lässt zu wünschen. Dauernder Druck das Kind früher abzuholen, Kinder warten angezogen auf die Eltern & die Pädagogen machen einen ein schlechtes Gewissen wenn das Kind mal als letztes abgeholt wird - abgesehen davon das Ausflüge sogut wie gar nicht statt finden :( hätte mich lieber anders entschieden"
