Short Description

ABC-Hort in Penzing, Vienna, is a parent-managed children's group that cares for a maximum of 14 kids in a family-like environment. Independence, movement, and group dynamics are at the core of our approach.

About this Kindergarten

Founded about 20 years ago by a group of committed parents, ABC-Hort values respectful interactions and trust among children, parents, and caregivers. We support each child's individual development while respecting their unique personalities. Children can thrive in an activity room, on a climbing wall, or in a cozy reading corner. We also offer a variety of activities and excursions, such as visits to parks, garden beds, museum trips, and even a farm week.

Languages

At ABC-Hort, German is the primary language spoken. However, children also have the opportunity to hear and learn some English, which naturally enhances their language skills.

Educational Approach

Our approach is based on the children's group manifesto, which places the needs and interests of the children at the forefront. We believe in the importance of play and movement for development. Children learn through experience and exploration, fostering their curiosity and creativity.
