Educational Profile & Description

Short Description

The Kindergarten der Wiener Kinderfreunde in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus offers intergenerational education in a quiet location. Here, children and seniors engage in exciting activities and nature experiences in the large garden.

Kindergarten Vienna

The Kindergarten der Wiener Kinderfreunde is a place where children can learn and grow in an open and welcoming environment. Located in the Pensionistenwohnheim "Haus Schmelz," it is easily accessible by public transport. The focus on intergenerational education means that children and residents of the home regularly interact and learn from each other. This special connection not only fosters exchange but also understanding between generations.

About this Kindergarten

In our kindergarten, numerous activities benefit both the children and the residents of the retirement home. These include visitor afternoons, story hours, singing together, and gardening. The large garden provides ample space for children to move and explore. Planned garden projects, such as planting together, deepen the children's experiences in nature.

The open layout of the house allows children to use not only their own group but also the areas of other groups and the play areas in the hallway. Each child has the opportunity to document their learning and development steps in a personal portfolio, helping them recognize and celebrate their progress.

Joint excursions and theater visits enrich the kindergarten year and provide children with opportunities to gain new experiences. We operate under a child protection concept to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.

Languages

Our kindergarten primarily speaks German.
