Kindergarten Vienna
The KIWI-Betriebskindergarten is an important part of Vienna's educational landscape. It offers not only a safe environment but also a diverse range of activities tailored to the individual needs of children. The facility is open year-round and provides flexible care that fits well into parents' daily lives.
About this Kindergarten
In our kindergarten, children find a place in three age-extended groups. Each group accommodates a maximum of 20 children, supervised by qualified staff. The spacious facilities provide ample room for play and learning. A movement room and a garden invite active experiences. We place great value on a respectful and child-centered pedagogy, inspired by the principles of Maria Montessori. Children have the freedom to choose from daily changing activities and move independently throughout the house.
We promote creativity through various activities such as painting, music, and language. Encountering the English language is also part of our daily routine. Regular excursions and outdoor projects, like our forest project, allow children to experience nature up close. Celebrations throughout the year strengthen community spirit, and intergenerational encounters with residents enrich our daily lives.
Languages
In our kindergarten, both German and English are spoken. Children have the opportunity to engage playfully with the English language, supporting their language development.
Educational Approach
We follow a child-centered approach that prioritizes the individual needs and interests of children. Montessori pedagogy plays a central role in this. Children learn through their own experiences and are encouraged to act independently and make decisions. This not only fosters their creativity but also builds their self-confidence.
